
Developed by the Arthur M. Blank Center for Stuttering Education and Research at the University of Texas at Austin, this program is held annually in various locations in the USA and internationally.
Program Objectives:
- To strengthen the positive perception of the ability to establish relationships with peers;
- Develop communication skills and self-confidence in communication;
- Foster self-compassion, resilience, personal advocacy and leadership;
- Reduce the impact of stuttering on overall quality of life.
Based on two decades of research, Camp Dream. Speak. Live. "teaches" children to stutter openly, communicate with confidence and stand up for their rights.
In partnership with the Alcoitão School of Health Sciences, the Blank Center is pleased to announce the 2nd edition of the Camp Dream. Speak. Live. – Portugal, which will take place from 6 to 10 July 2026 at ESSAlcoitão, in Alcabideche.
A second camp is also planned to take place in Tocha (Coimbra), from 13 to 17 July 2026 (to be confirmed).
